I have been enthralled in The Da Vinci Code this evening, since I got my kids to bed. It is sadly now too late to post anything coherent. I would really love to read 3 or 4 more chapters but I just can't keep my eye lids open anymore, I have nodded off countless times already. :o(

Sheesh, Blogger SUX sometimes! So I better post while I can.
I am really beginning to hate Blogger. I have been trying to comment on my friend's blogs, but more importantly post to my own, since Easter. I am guessing that there are just so many bloggers out there, with more and more being added even as you read this, that the servers just can't keep up.
Well, for the time being I can get in, but now I have forgotten all of the wonderful things I have wanted to blog about. OH the hell of it all.
In other news...
I am totally hooked on The Da Vinci Code. Last night I kept saying to myself, oh, just one more chapter, until it was 1 a.m. Tonight, however, I am paying for lack of Zs last night so I will be off to bed after I hit the post button on this one.
I took the kids to Solace House tonight, and dropped off the memorial art. They will share it with their little groups next session, then in 4 weeks it will be Tribute Night and they will share it with everyone, children and adults alike.
My boss will be in an off-site training class all day tomorrow. In addition, one of my employees is out on leave (I am filling in for him.) and another of my employees is at home with her grandchild because her daughter just had twins two days ago and needs someone to watch her daughter. Lastly, I have still another employee who was due to give birth today, but as of now has not. Meaning at any time I could be without yet another employee. If she decides to give birth this evening or tomorrow sometime, I will be down 4 out of 9 employees. Ya gotta love management. Was it me that said I wanted to be in management? I pretty sure it wasn't but if I ever catch up to the guy who did say it I will have to punch his lights out. (Frankly, I think it is the same buttwhipe that touches the lenses of my glasses right after I clean them.)

Distracted Reading
Today, I started reading The Da Vinci Code . I got the illustrated version form my birthday, from my brother and his wife. This is the first adult book I have read with pictures in a very long time, and it is driving me batty! There seems to be a picture on ever third page or so, and I can't keep from looking at it while I am reading. Maybe once the newness wares off it will be easier to read. I can't tell if I like it or not since I have only read about 20 pages or so. Check with me later.

Kicked her to the curb! - The Whole Story
Ok, since all of you, I am sure are now dying to find out why it is that things went south so quickly after date #4, I will now expound on the subject. (This could end up to be a long post, reader beware.)
First of all, you will need some background on me in order to understand what it is that I am going to tell you later.
My ex-wife had many mental and emotional issues. The worst of which was D.I.D. (dissociative identity disorder), more commonly know as multiple personalities. {Just in case you are wondering I had no idea about this until after we were divorced.} As you might have guessed this makes for an interesting marriage, since each personality had a different age, sex, and race. I was able to count 11, and I know the names of 4 of them. Furthermore, the events that caused her to acquire this disorder as a child were horrific to say the least. Since she was in total denial regarding these events, she was unable to properly deal with them emotional. This caused her to take all of her anger and frustration out on me, instead of on who it rightfully belonged to.
She was an absolute master at manipulation. If she couldn't do it by sneakiness, she would resort to fear and intimidation, and if that didn't work she would degrade and belittle you until you just gave in, in order to make her stop.
I have spent many years recovering from this, and have had help from professionals, and anonymous organizations. Today, I can say that I have recovered wonderfully, and am ready for a new relationship. Which is exactly why I joined eHarmony.
You also need to know that when I first met my ex-wife, and subsequently her family, I kept getting these little gut feelings. I didn't understand them, because everything seemed so wonderful, so I just overlooked them altogether. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!
Through my recovery I have discovered why I was having those feelings and why I chose not to listen to them. I vowed that if I ever got into a relationship again, I would have my antenna out, and be dragging my towed sonar array, on the lookout for disfunction so as not to repeat the same mistakes again.
Now fast forward to just after date #4, (Please keep in mind that in addition to the 4 dates who spoke for at least an hour every day.) I had been struggling with the fact that I really liked K, and that I really enjoyed spending time with her. Furthermore, things seemed to be progressing to the point of reaching the next level in the near future, BUT I was still getting all of these little gut feelings. (For me, it really is my gut.) Anyway, because of my antenna, and towed sonar array, I had been analyzing things as I went along. More to the point, when I got one of those feelings I would immediately think to myself, now just what is happening at this very moment that is making me feel this way? Then I would look closely at on my drive back home.
What it gets down to is this: 1. K is mean spirited with her children, she says it is just joking around. 2. K is also very much in control when we are together. Nothing happens unless it is was she wants. Furthermore, she uses manipulation to get this done for herself. 3. She often joked about woman withholding sex if they didn't get what they wanted from their man.
I called her on Thursday, and talked to her about it. I started out just by telling her that I was uncomfortable with the relationship and that I was not certain that we should continue to see each other. Of course she asked why, and I asked if she remembered me telling her that I had not listened to my gut the first time and that mistake had gotten me a lot of grief and turmoil, in addition to a broken heart. She said, yes she did, but wanted to know why I was feeling this way.
I really didn't want to go into it because, in my opinion, what I thought would only server to hurt her feelings if I shared it with her, and I told her so. She said that she really liked me and wanted to get this out in the open, so that we could discuss it.
I very diplomaticly told her how I felt, and she responded with her thoughts. As she did so, my gut started to tell me yet again that there was a little manipulation going on here. Furthermore, I wasn't to thrilled with her rebuttals either, since they pretty much consisted of, " Well, I don't think I am that way."
I continued to tell her that I was not comfortable with this, as she tried to convince me of her case. However, she finally said, "Well, if you aren't comfortable with this, it doesn't seem to be the right match for you, and I don't want to push you into something you don't want to do." I thanked her for being nice about it, and she thanked me for handling this the way I did, since I could have just stopped answering her calls and emails.
There is sooooo much more that I left out, but I didn't want to write an epistle. I do, however, want you to know that I do not feel like I am making K pay for the sins of my ex-wife. I only judged this relationship on it's own merits, through the filter of my marriage.
If you want to know more about why I made this choice, click here to read more about the book I am currently reading called Blink. It basically, explains why what everyone calls gut feelings aren't gut feeling at all. It is one of those things that is very hard to put into words, without writing a book about it. You'll just have to click on the link and read for yourself.

It's here! It's here!

This is the newly arrived, and professionally framed, artwork for my children to give in memorial of their mother both at church, and at the grief center. The framed original that will go to the church, and a print will go to the grief center.

To the curb she went........
I talked with K this evening. After explaining how I felt, we both decided that it was best to stop dating. I will give you all the whole scoop tomorrow, or on the weekend, as I seem to be extreamly busy this week. I am definately too tired to do it now.
Just pretend I posted this on the 17th

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all of my readers, and Happy 39th Birthday to the Incurable Savant!

Books, Movies & DVDs
I just finished "The Tipping Point," and started to read "Blink." By Malcom Gladwell. I decided that it was time to take a break from fiction for a while when I heard about Blink on the Bookends program on Classical KXTR . I am so glad that I bought them. The Tipping Point was very informative, easy to read, and had the power to make you read it even though you had other things to do. (Like stopping your lunch break, and going back to work.)
I am also eagerly awaiting July 16th, when "Harry Potter, and the Half Blood Prince" is delivered to my door! This is not magic by any means, I have pre-ordered the book. This also brings with it the excitement of Movie # 4 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, due out this November. I have tried to get a peek at the trailers on commingsoon.net but they don't even have it yet. Humph!
Finally, I got an email from Deep Discount DVD.com telling me that the last movie on my order has been shipped, and it is about bloody time I might add. I can't be too picky for the prices are far worth the wait.

Date # 4, and movie weekend
K and I saw Diary of a Mad Black Woman. What a hoot! Actually it was a great movie on many levels. Funny, sad, heartening, and meaningful. If you are someone that thinks they wouldn't like it because it has a black theme, ( I am not one of those people.) don't worry, cause after the first ten minutes you forget it is about black people altogether. All in all, it was an awesome movie and a great date. K and I will be going out again this Friday, so things must be going fine since she hasn't given me the axe yet.
The kids and I saw Robots, Saturday afternoon. Also another great movie. I highly recommend both movies.

Blog Blocked, or Not?
Well, it's not so much that I don't have anything to write about, its that I just plain don't want to write right now. I'm not sick, I'm not over tired, I just don't feel like blogging. Hopefully, this will pass soon.

Date Night # 3
K and I will be heading to another movie after a dinner out somewhere this evening. I told her she could plan this one. I believe we will be seeing the movie "Sideways". As far as dinner goes, it's up to her. I hope she doesn't pick Chinese, BLICKY! I would much rather Italian.

I have decided....
That the LeSabre Limited-Celebration Edition will someday in the near future grace my garage with it's presents. Now I am going to have to do some research on buying online through a broker. I really hate having to go to the dealership. I just want to be able to tell them which options I want, then have them tell me it will cost X. Rather than all of the normal Happy Horse Shit, you have to go through when buying a car.
If anyone of my readers has had a good experience buying a car through an online broker, I would love to hear about it.

Wappen (German for Crest)

This is the latest picture I have found of my family's crest. It is also the best. However, the one I like the best I can not find in a size large enough that it will expand without pixilating terribly. So for now, this is what you get to see.
Dating....
The fact that I haven't posted about it in a while is because we haven't been on a date lately, due to scheduling and illness. First she had the flu, then I had some kinda somethinsomethin two weeks ago and now the Bigass flu this last weekend.
In case you lost count, this next date will be #3. All things are still all well.

1st day back...
and I'm whipped up. I can't wait till I get home and can lie down again. All in all, I still feel finer than Frog's Hair, in compairison to the last 5 days. Hopefully, by tomorrow I will be feel even better.

If it Quacks like a Duck....
Or at least that is what we are hoping. All of the tests the doctor did where inconclusive. So, since it is acting like a classic case of the flu, that is how she is treating me. I think she is on the right track. I bought the scrip and took one as soon as I got home. That was about 4 hours ago. Since then I have watched yet another movie Bourne Supremacy , and slept some more. (Something I didn't get to do last night at all.) I am not at 100% yet, but I sure feel a whole lot better than when I took that medicine.
