Unintentional Blindness As Envisioned By My NEW Canon 20D
This is one of the first pictures I have taken with my very own, brand spankin' new, Canon 20D! The above picture was taken of my second pair of new glasses to brake in less than a week and a half. The first pair lasted 9 months, then broke in exactly the same place while I was cleaning them. I had the lenses put in to a new set of frames that evening. A week and a half later, I was cleaning this pair and BAM!That evening I went back in and was told they would replace them again. (I thought to myself, you EFFIN better!) However, this time I had to get an entirely new set of frames, which although very similar, were not exactly the same and I don't like them as well. This also meant I had to be blind for a week until the new lenses were ground.

My Water Broke!
LOOK BELOW for an update:
I just got a call from the Camera Store. She found one across town and went and picked it up for me!
I am still going to have to order the tripod, tripod head, one of the flash cards, and the Tamron lens online myself. But they have all of the rest of it at the store. Nurse Goodbody, has already been charging the battery for me, isn't she sweet? I am on my way after I pick up the kids, there will be time for dinner later. LOL
In other news.........
Little Man had to be sent home from school again today, with Head Lice for the 3rd effing time in 2.5 months. The Nurse said to give him a crew cut. My Mother has informed me that he is already damn near bald.
Gotta go get my 20D more when I get home.
8:23 pm... Both Father and Baby are home and doing fine!

Pocket Pool Shark & Coitus Interruptes
Now that I have everyones undivided attention, here is how my day went.....
I wrapped my big wad o'cash in a rubber band and stuffed it deep inside my left pocket.
I hate writing checks. It is a long story, and one I don't wish to share with anyone. (NO, Greekchickie, I didn't get busted for Kiting checks.) Nor did I want to use my Debit Card, another long story, which I am equally unwilling to share. Bottom line is.... When I am spending several thousand dollars, I want to take cash. Last time I heard it still spends the same as any other kind of money.
Now back to our regularly schedule programming. All day long, I kept fiddling with my wad. 1) to make sure it didn't come out of my pocket, and 2) because it was burning a hole in my pocket and I was excited about buying my camera tonight. Only problem was, I am certain a few of my employees thought that I was doing a little too much ball handling, if you know what I mean?
As the day wore on, I kept a tight grip on my wad, and it never did get anywhere it was not suppose to.
I raced to the camera store, choking a cardboard hamburger as I drove. I got there at 6:20 and they closed at 7:00. That should be enough time to empty the "4+ Large" from my pockets, I thought. I walked into the store with a carefully crafted, ink jet printed, list denoting all of the items I wished to purchase. I was greated by the very knowledgable, and personable store manager. I told her, I had spoken with her some months back, and had been saving my pennies and was ready to get bizzAy!
Unfortunately, the shizzle on the dizzle was that they did not have any 20Ds in stock. She called around town and couldn find any.
Some of you may not know that Canon announced yesterday they would be replacing the 20D with the new 30D. My guess is they have been trying to depleat their stock in the market so they don't have to sell all of those cameras at a hugely discounted rate. The short version is I don't want a 30D, nor do I wish to wait a month and a half to get one.
Half of the things on the list she would have had to order anyway, and some I may have to order on-line because she may not be able to order them herself. (Not her fault, but I don't have to like it.) Thankfully, they have what they call direct ship on all of their orders, which means they will send it 3 day delivery to either my home or the store. Yeah right, like I am going to have the UPS truck pull up to my house (which is on a main drag) and drop off 4 Grand of camera gear in big boxes that say Canon all effen over them! I think not. The other thing to be thankful for is that if I had waited until Saturday to go in and order it, it would have been a week from now before I got the stupid thing.
Since they were about to close, she asked if she could keep my finely printed list so she could research all of the items and a few we added on. Then prepair the order durring the day tomorrow, and I can pay for it tomorrow evening. Will there be another pocket pool championship tournament tomorrow? Hardly. I plan to leave all my gelt at home, then pick up the kids and run buy the store to make payment after dinner.
In the end, we had a huge anti-climax and an even bigger case of photographis interruptes, and you know I hate it when that happens!
Disclaimer: I know that in the past I have had many problems that were exponentially worse than this, and far more detrimental to the well being of myself and my family. But let me put it to you this way. It's my money, and if I want to be a whiney little bitch about it I can!

Get'em Ready!
Ok, tomorrow, or today (6/22/06) depending on when you read this is the day of all days, and the one I have been long awaiting! It is time to finally go to the camera store and buy my very own Canon 20D. Whooptie Effen Do!
I am so excited I will more than likely need several pair of these since I am so excited! At first I was going to take a picture my big pile of 100 dollar bills that was soon to be gone, but frankly, I won't miss them much since I will have all this wonderful new gear to play with.

The Clock's A Tickin'
Well, depending on when you read this, I will have beteen a day and a half and a day left before my major purchases!
Thankfully, I have gotten over the excitedness, and am now in the calm knowing it is upon me.
The reality is that I will have a ton of reading to do before I can even use the mug. Not to mention that all of the really cool shots I want to get will take lighting and models. Since I will just have shot my wad on the gear lighting is out of the question for awhile, and even then software and photography classes come first. Furthermore, I don't exactly have naked women knocking my door down begging me to take their picture. Hell, I'd even be happy with clothed women knocking at my door begging me to take their pictures at this point. Come to think... I just be happy if women were knocking on my door asking for me, and not because I owed them money or because they want me to buy something.
Incurable, wake up. Wake Up! Oh, excuse me I think I drifted off there for a sec. What was I saying? Oh well, brain cramp. Hope you all have a nice day, and if you happen to see any pretty women walking around like they want to have their pictures taken, naked or otherwise, send them my way.
Thanks,
I.S.

I'm Expecting
Yes, I am indeed expecting, a baby 20D, that is. The due date is only 4 days away. I have been experiencing morning sickness, back pain, shortness of breath, lack of sleep, and pressure on my blatter, all because I just can't stand the wait any longer.
It does not help that I am spending lots of time on "flickr" getting idea after idea and not being able to bring it to life for lack of a cool ass camera. I guess I have no one but myself to blame, but all the pain of waiting will be over soon. Then I will be a "Snappin' MOFO!"
OH THE PAIN OF IT ALL!
