Today Is Flaming Arrow To The Chest Thursday

My whole world crashed down on me at 5:30 this morning. Due to forces beyond anyone's control my Super Cool Trainer Alan is being moved to a different club across town, starting TOMORROW! (Far enough away that it isn't even a concideration for me to follow him.)

He has only known for certain since yesterday, but this has been in the works for awhile. He said, he hadn't told anyone until he was for certain because he would have thought they would be giving him a little more than 2 days notice!

Needless to say, I feel sucker punched. I know I paid him, but I still considered him my friend. Furthermore, you have to have a pretty close relationship with your trainer for it to work, so it is almost like if someone met me at the door and told me he died in an auto accident. The end result either way is that Alan has been taken from me. I understand there was nothing he could do about this and he led me to believe this is not exactly what he wants either.

Life goes on, and I will deal. For right now, I am still in shock. I may write more when I am less numb.

I Got Gas Problems, & Beno Won't Help

Just who's bright idea was it for me to spend $43.50 for 13.5 gallons of gas yesterday? ($3.17 per incase you were wondering.) That my friends, is just wrong on so many different levels I don't even want to think about it. As much as I would love to run out and get a little Italian Vespa Scooter to putt around town in, that just isn't going to happen. First off, I have two kids. Secondly, while not exactly a motorcycle, they are still dangerous. Most importantly, however, I don't do helmet hair. Not to mention, can you see a big guy like me riding a tiny weeny little scooter? Even I think that's funny.

In other unrelated news, I got sprinkled on during my morning walk. Just as I got under my front porch it started to pour. It's clean living that does it for me, in case you wanted to know.

Hellllll-O Is Anybody In Here?

I was once again reminded by Stacy the Peanut Queen, that it has been nearly a Fortnight since my last posting. (and the crowd gasps) Well, tonight there is going to be one hell of a lot of catchin' up goin' on up in here!

OK, everyone pull up a big comfy overstuffed chair, get your favorite beverage, slippers, blanket, and any other thing that you will need to get all comfy cozy cause this is going to take a while. Go ahead, I'll wait. Hey, could somebody get me a Diet Coke while your at it, please? Thanks.

Every one settled in? Good.

Things have been going....well, that's the problem they have been going, and going, and going. The last day of school is this Friday, so the kids are just so happy they're nearly beside themselves. Talk of swimming pools and vacations are looming closely.

I am still looking for another job as mine draws to a close, and had an interview with yesterday. It went well, but I got the feeling they may have aready have some folks in mind.

Given that Ms eHarmony's status has change to "Girlfriend" I needed to come up with a suitable monicar, avitar, nickname, in short something besides her name to call her in my blog. She is quite private, and I intend to respect that here. So know that if you ask a question or two in the comments section, there is a pretty good chance you may not get an answer. Not because I am a jerk, but because this is my blog, and I choose to lay myself open for the world to see, however, she did not. There may come a time when I post a funny thing or three about something that involves her, but it won't be without express permission from her before hand.

Back to the topic at hand. Ms eHarmony needs a cool nickname. Some cool nicknames, I have seen on blogs I read regularly, use to discribe the blogger's segnificent other are as follows:

The Hubs (Peace of My Mind)
Hot Wife (Dad Gone Mad)
Loving Wife (Not So Confidential)

Now while Ms eHarmony is both very Hot and Loving, I wanted to come up with something that fit her well, and not just the run of the mill nickname. I have chosen to use the nickname I began calling her, and it kind of stuck, she likes it, and even signs emails with it.

Her initials are MAC, and I started calling her that. Then just to be cute one day, I addressed her, in an email, as Mac and Cheese. To which she replied, "Well you know, I am the cheesiest!" Problem was that Mac and Cheese got really stale with me, real quickly. In an effort to be charming, I was constantly trying to come up with something cute to call her, and since Mac and Cheese wasn't gettin it, I kept trying others. Eventually, one day I called her on her cell phone and said, (without even thinking about it) "Hey, Noodle." AND IT STUCK

I like it, and she likes it. So that's that! From now on she will forever be refered to, in this blog at least, as Noodle.

Last week Noodle sent me an e-card in which she wrote with BIG lettering, something about me being the best boyfriend ever, and signed it Noodle. Well I had been telling the kids I was going to spend time with a friend. When they asked my friend's name I just said, "Noodle." Anyway....I had decided I needed a little pick me up so after the kids were in bed, I went online and pulled the eCard up on my screen. Much to my embarrassment, I hear behind me, the voice of Little Man saying, "That's cool. Hey, I didn't know Noodle was a GIRL!" Crap! Now the cat is out of the bag.

It wasn't that I was trying to keep secerets, it is that I just didn't want them getting their hopes up until I was sure this was something lasting. Well, now that Little Man knew he started to stew on it, and it really started to bother him. He then told Big Sister, so they could worry about it together, and Sunday Morning asked my Fotonut Mom about it. She told me, and then said she thought I needed to talk to them about it before their heads started geting filled with the wrong ideas about what was going on.

Now that everything is out in the open, they are much more comfortable with the whole idea. It took me a while to get it in their head, that just because I am dating someone doesn't mean we will get married for certain. That is also why Fotonut Daddy, won't introduce you to Noodle for a long time yet. He needs to make sure that Noodle is the right person first.

I know you are all thinking, well is she? Make you a deal, if you share that information with me, then we will both know. I can tell you that I enjoy her company a great deal. I think about her all of the time, and I have even told her I love her. However, I still have much more to learn before I start thinking about weather or not she will become Mrs. Noodle Fotonut.

For now we have "Play Dates" on Tuesdays when we walk for exercise. An we spend some time each weekend with each other. At this point her kids haven't figured it out yet and we are planning to keep it that way for now.

Ok, I am sleepy so that will have to be it for now.

It's good to be back, I shouldn't have stayed away so long.

Surprize!

Ok, now that I have everyone's attention.....This is NOT Ms. eHarmony's hand. (gotcha) This is the hand of the my Super Cool Personal Trainer Alan's Betrothed. I offered last Dec to take their engagement photos, because I am no where close to ready for weddings, and told them that because Alan has done so much for me I wanted to give them this gift. They both gladly excepted and this morning was the day. You can see 28 of the 138 shots I took this morning by clicking my flicker link to the lest. At the risk of breaking my arm I do believe thaey will have trouble picking, because I could only get it down to 28!

I Will, Thank You Very Much! & Friday's Scale Report

Yesterday, while heading to my secret napping place after finishing my lunch. A very tall black man in his 50s approached me wearing (get this) a purple double breasted sharkskin suit, an ivory shirt and an extreamly loud tie. He says, "Hey young man, how would you like to do a good dead for the day?" Against my better judgement I said, "What can I help you with?"

Well, that was the mistake of the century. He starts with this spiel about how he had gotten on the bus in Minneapolis, MN. (His first mistake, I happen to know that the only Bus Station in the Twin Cities is in St. Paul. You can't fool a Minnesotan, wit dat one yeah know.) He keeps spreading it on thick, in a silky salesmen's pitch, and very rehearsed way. When he said, "Now young man I want to tell you that this is a true story." I thow my hand up and say, "Ya'know what, I need to get back to my office." At which point he gets this really a really sour look on his face and says to me, "Well, take your fat ass on then!"

Without another word from either of us, I swiftly departed the man in the purple suit with the very loud matching tie. I thought to myself. I believe I will take my fat ass on, along with my very full wallet that got that way because I ACTUALLY WORK FOR MY MONEY! The nerve of some people!

THE SCALE REPORT

Today's scale report is brought to you by our friends at 24Hourfitnes, where better bodies are made.

While I "took my fat ass on" yesterday, it was considerably less fat than this time last week because I lost SIX MUTHAH LUVIN' POUNDS THIS WEEK!

A Thing Of Beauty Is A Joy Forever!

I just got a comment here, that pleaded with me to share date details. As you all know, I can be a bit of a sailor at times, however, I am still very much a gentleman. Furthermore, I have not yet told Ms. eHarmony about my blog. I don't know why really. I'm not ashamed of it, and I haven't ever put anything in here that I wouldn't want her to see. (Now, my Mother on the other hand is a whole other story!)

I will tell you, that we had a split shift date on Saturday, and I saw her again for two hours on Sunday. We had a wonderful time watching foreign films and spending time together. We laughed a lot and it was very hard for me to leave, when the time came. She is a wonderful (emotionally stable) woman, who is smart, beautiful, and loves to laugh. I am very glad we met.

One of the things we had planned on doing Saturday was going to a park with my camera, (Yeah I even take it on dates, so sue me. I maybe weird by my girlfriend likes me an awful lot because of it, or so she says.{yes I said girlfriend}) to take portraits of her. However, the windy rainy weather had other ideas. Before you ask, when the time comes that I do in fact have a picture of her, or us, or both, she will get the final say as to weather or not it gets posted here or on flickr.
If you want my opinion of how things are going, I can say swimmingly! If you want my opinion on where this relationship is headed, I can't really say, but I am certainly enjoying the trip in large part to my travel companion!

Steady As I Go

First click here to see pictures of Big Sister, and Little Man's Music Recital.

Next, I haven't said much of anthing about the current Miss eHarmony, nor will I be forthcoming with too many details now. However, I will tell you that we have communicated steadily for 4 weeks now, and have had several Walking/Exercise dates. She is a joy to be with, and I am begining to care for her quite deeply. Our first Grown Up date will be on the 5th.

If you're wondering if that may be why you haven't seen me around here much lately, that would be partially correct. The other reason is that I have been walking like crazy so that I can realize the weight loose goals I have set for myself.
